Teaching
What’s Your Story? Devised and taught this workshop at the Hudson Opera House to at-risk girls from a halfway house. We spent four Saturdays together and about 15 hours of work. The writing that came out of that was from the gut. We presented the work to the public at a Sunday brunch and I paid each girl $50 for their story as I wanted them to understand that their work has both intellectual and monetary value—and if they thought about it, they could make a living at writing.
